The “Original Gecko Cotton Shorts” are true to size in the waist, however, if you are in-between sizes, we recommend ordering the next size up. They are the same length as our volley shorts, but the waist is larger and stretches with even more comfort and flexibility. We recommend ordering 1 size up if you are in between sizes, because the drawstring can easily tighten the short further if necessary/desired.

If you love 80s nostalgia and comfy clothes then these shorts are for you. Being a 80s kid myself colours were everything and really poppin back then. The colours on these shorts are amazing plus the fit is spot on. I purchased a Large as I usually run a 34 size short/pants and these fit perfect and still have enough room to spare so if your borderline size up 36 I'd say these would fit you as well. All round I am super happy with Gecko and will definitely shop again, they have quality products and super fast at sending out your order. Took around 3 weeks to get my order to Australia from the moment internet order was placed until USPS delivered parcel and that's impressive as sometimes it takes 3 weeks to get mail from the other side of my own country to my door.

Comfy, Sizing is Accurate as Far As I Can Tell

Nice material, comfy looser fit (in keeping with the 90s style). I wear a 34 in pants and I think the sizing on the site is accurate. I bought a Large and the shorts stay on comfortably without using the drawstring. If I want a tighter fit or I wanted to keep them higher up on my waist, I'd use the drawstring. No complaints from me, washed them as soon as I got them with a bit of vinegar and eco-detergent and they came out nice and soft while still retaining all of their color.

Runs Small & Issues returning

I’m a natural 38 in the waist. Bought a size XL per their description and the shorts are super tight in the waist and very short. Like women booty shorts. I attempted to exchange for a size up and they wanted me to ship back my shorts as I pay for shipping and hope they have a size 2Xl available. Dope colorway but they sizing needs to be counted for American men size. Size up one or two to get the fit you naturally want.
