We made "Gecko Volleyball" is as true to the original as possible! This includes all of the original imperfections in the Gecko and the art. This time around, this limited release is printed on new neon tank tops and blue & green hyperflash -- and has glow in the dark green and pink (lightly puffed) texutred ink.
1988, the USA Men's Olympic Volleyball Team defeated the Soviet team to win the gold medal. With all of the crazy political things happening at the time between USA and Russia, it meant so much more here than just a "win." and there was a proud and party atmosphere in the air. Beach life and style was at the top of it's game and that summer, the Olympics propelled Volleyball into a major peak of popularity.
We brought back this awesome gem of a tee, because it SCREAMS mid 1980s -- and we have received a lot of requests from new Gecko Fam Fans to bring it back! You may also notice how different the Gecko looked back then than the super clean gecko of today --- yet still iconic and influential. It's an EXTREMELY difficult vintage find -- in fact we've only seen 3 of them in the past 4 years -- and we have our feelers out there!

How To Choose Your Fit & Size
For HYPERFLASH ThermoChromatic Tees
If you've tried both of our slim fit tees and our classic fit/pigment dyed tees -- the sizing of these is somewhere in between. The closest sizing would be the Hanes Beefy T -- although on the HYPERFLASH shirts, the cotton is a lighter cotton than a Beefy T-- it's about 5 OZ ringspun, combed cotton -- which is thicker than our slim beach tees, but thinner than our more heavy, pigment dyed and classic fit tees.
The reason why HyperFlash Thermochromatic sizing is slightly different than our normal tees, is due to the Thermochromatic dyes, which undergo a washing process. This actually eliminates about 95% of shrinkage prior to your purchase.
So, If you like a looser feel/fit, definitely go a size up. The shirts are normal in the shoulder areas (much like the Hanes Beefy T), but the "stomach" area is ever so slightly smaller from the washing process.
If you are taller, or have a bigger mid-section and like longer sleeves, we also recommend going a size up too. So if you are usually a medium, go with a large ---
However, if you like a normal/slightly slimmer/tighter fit around the arms and mid section -- go with your true to size.

Gecko Hawaii HYPERFLASH shirts are heat activated and change color around 80 degrees, which gives it a super rare, "living, breathing, tie dye" feeling. Think of it as "the mood ring" of t-shirts -- but WAAAAAY cooler!
Thermochromatic technology has improved dramatically since the 1990's, but most apparel companies don't make it, because they are afraid to take risks, and it is REALLY expensive to make. However, our fans kept asking since our relaunch, so we are making it happen again!
